The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Fighters Table

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a wide array of personalities, and a exciting storyline including celestial beings, fiends, and sinister influences increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the latest installment of this adventure lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, apart from the additional parties.

This warrior group includes Teor (portrayed by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at one table would be impossible.

Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might seem mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

First, the group has a clear idea where to head next after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—exploited the enemy for his personal gain, entering the hidden lair, assaulting the rogue, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.

Casimir then settled his obligations and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each character has a individual motive to exit the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and best friend, seeks vengeance.
  • Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the team reach locations they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This means them no alternative but to head to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From the recent installment’s follow-up content, we discover that the combat party won’t be around the following episode, leaving the other eight participants to form the Explorers and Planners tables.

Viewers can anticipate discovering which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
